Description
This is what I believe to be an antiques Omani wedding chest. It is very heavy, the seat isn't original but added I think.. The body is bound in brass and studded plate.. The inside has a candle box. I have not been able to discover any markings but the brass and a specially the handles are very heavy and appeared to be very old. The wood almost has a petrified look to it. it measures probably 46 inches wide, about 20 inches deep and maybe 25 inches tall. It seems to be very sturdy and is in poor shape but rather in very good shape. It has lots of rich patina
