Description

This Tankard is 7.25" tall and 4.5 wide at the rim. I believe it is pewter or some combination of metals. It is embossed and engraved with a double headed Eagle and a shield with an

'L" written in script. the other side has a depiction of some gothic or old looking stately buildings.It appears to have some writing on the bottom, but i cannot make it out. What is really interesting. is the odd looking mark on the lower right hand side of the Eagles foot shown in picture #3.

History I don't know anything,but i suspect it is German because the buildings look like some of the ones on the old German stamps.
