Description

I recently purchased a bar from a friend of a friend who was moving.  I got it and a dining room set for only $50!  He said that his father was in the military and had been stationed overseas.  He apparently brought back this bar from Spain many years ago.  The picture that I am attaching is one that I found online of an identical bar!  It's the only one that I found and strangely it's the first one that popped up in Google!  Mine is in the back of my storage unit waiting on an answer about it's background and value, and whether it should be refinished.  The one that I purchased has more wear on it and definitely needs to be sanded down and refinished.  It also has one deeper scratch (probably could still be sanded out) on the top of the bar.  The back side has drawers and cabinets that open with shelves inside. Overall it is in fair condition.  I can't get to it to take a picture until I move next month but I wanted to check before I get it refinished and possibly damage the value.  What is your opinion?

Thanks a lot!
