AI Appraisal
Description
It appears to be an antique children's toy - a teeter-totter or see-saw. It is about 48" long, 13" wide, and 21" tall. One of the end panels appears to be replaced (you can see that it doesn't have paint on it), while the rest appears to have original paint.
It is in the shape of a swan. It was found in Pacific Grove, California. Of note, Pacific Grove's Lover's Point beach was a very popular tourist spot around 1900, and they had glass bottom swan shaped boats that people would take onto the Monterey Bay. Makes me wonder if this is a handmade local piece from that era with the similar swan boat design. Never seen anything like it online.
Any idea what it is and what it is worth?? Thanks so much!
