Description

This is nice looking tribal drum that is very aged. The snake skin is dry but not brittle, could do with refurbishment. The snake skin is held in place by wooden stakes, no modern staples etc.

The wood is quite soft and as such the bottom is damaged but does add to the character. The face on the front does appear tribal and the colour is also faded. The house this came out of was a very clean house so up to that point I can only think the various nicks, marks, scratches are from when this was actually used as a musical instrument as there are holes on one side which I presume were to put a rope through to hang around the neck. these holes are worn also.

<--- This is a picture shot up the bottom of the drum.
