This is a vintage, antique set of T&V china. We think it is about 100 years old. It has a floral pattern, pink and yellow flowers with gold leaves and a gold trim around the edges. On the back of the items is "T&V France". Some of them also have "Lilly Pat July 1st 84". We have 12 - 9-piece place settings which include 3 bowls, 3 plates, coffee cup and saucer, and an ashtray. There are also 4 platters, 11", 13", 15", 17"; 5 covered casseroles, 2 - 9x6, 2 - 8x7 and 1 - 5x5; 5 serving bowls, 2 - 9x8, 2 - 10x8, 1 - 9x9; a gravy boat with saucer, and a condiment bowl attached to a saucer with a lid. 124 pieces in all. We contacted Replacements Ltd to see what it is worth, but they do not have any of this pattern. They created a new pattern number when we sent them the description and pictures. We would like to sell the set, but have no idea what it is worth as a set or individual pieces. Thanks for your help!
Re: Antique T&V china
I have the same set - about 125 pieces. It looks like you may have more. Anyway, I've been able to find out very little about this set....it's so frustrating. I did have an antique dealer look at a picture of my set and he valued it at about $500. (I have very little confidence in this estimate as I don't think he's an expert in dinnerware). If you ever find a site that sells replacements for this set, please let me know as I'm missing a few plates.
Do you actually use yours?
I don't quite dare:(
