antique waterfall vanity w/3 mirrors

By rustyred, 13 May, 2014
Description

Very clean...looks like barely ever used...all mirrors seem original...dovetails have almost no gunk in them...original handles...beautiful color...looks like a stencil or paint or inlay design on center drawer...and a nice swirly design like vertical strapping...no tags found on piece...and I cant seem to find one like it anywhere

Re: antique waterfall vanity w/3 mirrors

These "Waterfall" are a tough sell in the current market and we seldom buy them for that reason. Currently we see vanities of this type sell for under $100.00 at auction.

Re: antique waterfall vanity w/3 mirrors

Well thank u kind person...I would like to share a bit more of ur time if that's ok...is there anything else that u can advise me on pertaining to this piece??? Like where to look for stamp, sticker or some kind of identification of the manufacturer??? Cause I have checked just about everywhere except between the big mirror and the wood back support...Also I would satisfy a curiosity if I knew there were other exact models like this specific one out there...plus what is the exact title the maker would call this one...and year and geographic location it was constructed...and the thing about this piece I will have u know kind person that makes mine a little better is it's like someone used it possibly for a handful of years then put it under covering and left it for 50 + years...it's very very clean...the dovetails have practically zero gunk in them...and the bottom slide rails on all of the drawers have no visible use basically to my eyes...so I'm able to say it's in the range of 90% perfect...I'm good with that.. lol...so do u know much about old cast iron wood stoves and a I also acquired a very nice old hand carved Asian water gondola I think they r called...and it appears to b outta ivory...I am definitely in search of knowledge if u can assist in any way...and I do appreciate ur time very much...
