Description
I don't know very much about this piece. It is hand wrought iron with a gold paint applied. It appears that it may have been gilded or similar because you can see a reddish-orange paint in places where the gold is worn off not quite all the way down to the iron. The thicker twisted iron "ropes" that rise up from it's four footed corners, connect at the top and are finished with a finial, measure one half inch thick. The overall dimensions of this piece are 19" x 25" x 26.5"high. I saw it in the "light" or window well of a residential hotel I stayed at in San francisco. When I asked about it, they gave it to me.
