Description
This candelabra holds 3 candles and has an Egyptian type symbol on bottom of each side with a winged "lady" holding a ball on top of her head with deco style lines below and a flower image rising above her. Each side has a Art Nouveau flowing style handle connected to the candle holder with leaf type designs on parts of the connecting pieces. This is in original condition so the brass is worn all over the piece - some of it is silver shaded and some has a brass tint. Other than the worn spots on the base, there is a small dent on the very bottom on one side and minor scratches on the candle holders and the bottom part.

On bottom is a stamp with the word Benedici over a diamond imprint with a 4 leaf clover type symbol in the middle with a "B" on each end of the clover and Karmak Brass underneath and "271" under that. Also it looks like D3896 JAJ was scratched in under the 271 stamp.

Benedict Art Studio, (Onondonga Metal Shop) founded by Harry L Benedict and George N Couse, East Syracuse, New York in 1904. Lack of a nice patina may be a problem but nice item. ~~~~~$200.00 +/-<br />

I appreciate the information but the name appears to be "Benedici" with an "i" at the end not a "t". The imprint is very legible and I don't see any indication of the last letter ever being a "t". Think this could be the same studio?
