Description
This rocking chair was refitted, at least 40 years ago and probably more, with strapping and fabric to close up the hole in the seat (I think for the nighttime pot) and make it a comfortable seat. It is in very good condition.

It came from my mother-in-laws house and has been a extra piece in our bedroom for 25 years and we believe she brought it with her home from the family farm, sometime in the late 30's or early 40's.

Re: Bedroom Rocking Chair
Your chair dates from the first quarter of the 20th. Century, but looks older because it is based on "ladderback" type chairs made since the 1600's. No huge value, at auction comparable chairs often go for less than $50.00
