Description

This is a arched top (as opposed to a flat top) steamer trunk manufactured by the Belber Trunk Company.  It belonged to my greatgrandmother who emigrated from France in the 1920s.  The trunk has a sticker on it indicating a trip to Honolulu, HI with various stops on the way.  The trunk bears my great grandmother's initials MLV, Marie Louise Verdier.  The inside has some wear and tear in the fabric covering the drawers, but all the original wooden hangers and rack are in perfect condidtion.  The drawer lock bar is present as is the original laundry bag in matching fabric.  There is a fabric covers case built to fit neatly inside as well.  There are no significant damages or dents, just normal wear and tear for a steamer trunk of its age and usage. Some of the leather straps are missing.
