Hi- without seeing the full set in person I can only tell you a few things about this set. The pattern is called Madrid and it was originally manufactured by the Federal Glass company in the 1930's. Around 1976 they reissued the pattern under the name Recollection. Often these repros had the date 1976 stamped on them. At some point, Federal Glass went bankrupt and was sold to Indiana Glass, but this pattern was only made by Indiana in clear and pink glass. So , you set is either original 1930's Federal or reproductions / "Recollection". I can't tell from the picture, usually the most telling pieces are the plates. If you want to post more pictures , maybe one of a plate, I will render an opinion. I made the mistake of buying reproduction Madrid and thinking it was original from the 30's .. I have since done quite a bit of research and can ususally tell by looking as well as the feel. Hope this helps...
Hi Again...thanks for the plate pic. The color seems to be right for original, repro is more greenish blue whereas original is a soft blue like yours. Also, the dotted swagged line inside the rim of the plates is made up of very small little dot-like things that should be very close together. Hard to tell in the pictures...but yours look pretty small and close together. Also , the plate should be 10.5" across. I forgot to mention another good way to tell the real thing is to look at how the handle is attached to the cup. Look at where the bottom of the handle is attached to the glass from the inside of the cup. IF it is a teardrop shape where the bottom of the handle meets the body of the cup (pointed at the top instead of rounded, it is most likely original.) The repros are more of a rounded square shape. Also, if you have a creamer, the spout should dip down from the rim instead of rising up above the rim....original spout was more of an indentation in the rim instead of what appears to be a spout added on...(hope that makes sense)
So in closing...the color is right for original. plate looks right from what I can tell and if your handles are attached at the bottom with what looks like a teardrop instead of a rounded square, (see item # 321441046851 on ebay active listings to see what i mean ) then you probably have original.....I can't be sure unless I see and feel it.....certainly the value is signifcantly higher if it is original but people are buying repro as long as you sell it as such. There is quite a bit of this pattern on ebay and you can get an idea of value from there. The highest return is going to be to sell it in separate pieces , since the highest amount will be paid by a current collector who needs to fill in what they have. I do hope some of this info helps...good luck....
