Re: Carved wood chairs and matching couch with poreclin wheels

I am not positive but by judging the type of patterm of the Chair and its antiqueing on the legs it appears to have quite a bit of value. The love seat on the other hand is well made and is a little more modern so I would say that wouldn't be as valuable. I would have to feel the craftsmanship in person to get a better idea of the value of the items I would think in combination it would be around $6000-$10,000 depending upon the maker and age

Sybil

Sybil -

Thanks so much for your response. I'm actually looking to collect the remaining pieces. Any idea on where I could go to figure out what kind of chairs they are?

Re: Carved wood chairs and matching couch with poreclin wheels

Sorry to rain on the parade, but there is no way this set is worth $6000-$10,000. It's Victorian Circa 1870, but nothing out of the ordinary. Such furniture is currently out of vogue and values have been declining for it the last five years. Of 23 comparable suites we have listings for sold within the last year at auction for less than$1500.00 .

Lovejoy
