Description I found this cup and saucer at a flea market in Northern Ontario a couple months ago and have searched on the internet countless hours trying to find one like in order to know what to sell it for. It is very beautiful, with gold edges and what looks like gold underneath the paintings, some of the paint has "rubbed off" to show this. There are no chips or cracks only a few wear marks on the handle and on the bottom of the saucer. I do not think that they are a match originally as they have different pottery marks, but the colourful shimmer present in both pieces makes them a great set. On the inside of the cup is a lovely painted rose and greenery.Quite pretty. I would like to potentially sell it, if it will make a good price.

Distinguishing marks Castle China on the cup and "Hand Painted Shafford Japan" on the saucer. Floral pattern on the cup and pink luster on the saucer, inside the cup is shimmery.

Size and dimensions of this item cup - 4 3/4 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall, saucer is 5.5 inches.
Weight 240 grams
History i do not know much about the item, i bought it at a flea market with some other tea cups. I dont think that the saucer and cup are matching but that is how they came. I have not found one like it on the internet except for one (although different in colour and a different handle) and it was selling for $275.
