erphila is an interesting mark/stamp as the actual manufacturer is more often than not unknown. Erphila is a mark found on Czechoslovakian and other pottery and porcelain made after 1920. This mark was used on items imported by Ebeling & Reuss, Philadelphia, a giftware firm that is still operating in Pennsylvania. Because of the fact that these are "imports" contractually a wide variety of quality and craftsmanship was employed. http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-erphila-fayence-cat-vase-pitcher I'm seeing them going for a modest price, but a cat lover would enjoy the piece. I like the item.

http://www.collectorscircle.com/bohemian/porcelain/marks_table4.html Erphila was the importer. ERPhila is for E-beling & R-euss Phila-delphia. Their other Mark is E&R, Inc. This site may help you date the item, it shows some of their marks.
