erphila is an interesting mark/stamp as the actual manufacturer is more often than not unknown.
Erphila is a mark found on Czechoslovakian and other pottery and porcelain made after 1920. This mark was used on items imported by Ebeling & Reuss, Philadelphia, a giftware firm that is still operating in Pennsylvania.
Because of the fact that these are "imports" contractually a wide variety of quality and craftsmanship was employed.
Erphila was the importer. ERPhila is for E-beling & R-euss Phila-delphia. Their other Mark is E&R, Inc. This site may help you date the item, it shows some of their marks.
My pitcher is plain white, no ribs. It is marked Erphila Fayence Germany 4/4/ III. I haven't been able to find this mark anywhere. Please advise. [email protected] is my e-mail address.

I'm seeing them going for a modest price, but a cat lover would enjoy the piece. I like the item.
