Century Furniture of Distinction The Henry Ford Museum black buffet

I recently purchased a lovely black buffet with 4 drawers that I was told was probably from the 50s. It came out of a private estate.  I was told that this furniture was made individually for customers requesting certain colors.  I would very much like to know the value of this piece.
