Description

Hi.  I have a beautiful ceramic figure that seems to be named "The Cheaters".  There have been many many versions of this figure done and I just simply can't seem to find any info on mine.  The figure is of 3 boys playing cards, two of which are passing a card under the table.  It appears to be just like several of the versions I've found online that are capodimonte figures. The problem I'm having is the ONLY marking at all of this piece is a sticker on the bottom that says "Price Imports/Japan."  I know most capodimonte pieces have an N with a crown and come from Italy so I"m curious about this piece a)not having that and b) the sticker.  Was this piece then made in Japan by Price Imports or is that the company that sold it.  Any info or value would be greatly helpful. Thanks so much

History I am unsure where this piece actually came from. My mom's had it as long as I can remember. I was trying to do some research on it and found out that it could be quite valuable(up to $1200 on some sites) if it is capodimonte--depending on artist. So I listed it on Ebay to try to sell it when the "Price Import/Japan" sticker prompted a question from someone about where the piece comes from. I just assumed Price Import was a shipping company that sold the piece, not necessarily the maker. Although, I guess both could be possible as Japan and China both have been known to reproduce some of the higher end pieces through the years. Any help would greatly appreciated
