Cherry Plantation Desk

By tsantiques, 7 June, 2017
Description

Cherry plantation desk with foldover leaf on lower section. Top half has double doors with original float glass panels and open section with fretwork corners. Four small drawers raised panels on fronts. There are mirrors that have been put into the cabinet which are not permanently affixed and can be easily removed if desired.  Bottom half has foldover leaf and two larger drawers beneath. The knobs on the drawers are original and have dowel-turned wood screws. There were originally locks on both doors and the drawers on the top half, but the locks were previously removed and replaced with knobs. Photos will show where these locks once were. This piece came from an estate in Ohio.  Finish is original.
