Description 32 peice set of hand carved ivory chessmen,the carvings are very detailed. The king,queen and bishops are also painted with very fine designs thru out. On what appears to be a money bag, that all four bishops are holding in their right hand, except for one of them, he is holding it in his left hand, are the initails GP. The chess board is made of wood, which unfolds to where the chess peices are stored in a bed of satin material, one side is white and the other is blue. The dark peices appear to have been stained for color. The chess board measures open at 18"X 18" and 1 7/8" high.
