China Cabinet and Dining Set

By EDunn059, 28 October, 2012
Description

I have a china cabinet that is 6 feet 10 inches high and 4 feet 10 inches wide. I'm not sure what wood it is, it does smell like cedar. It's a darker wood, with black paint splatters all over it (designed that way). Black paint designs on the glass doors. Two glass doors open on top but there are three sections. The top lights up with two light bulbs inside the cabinet. The bottom section is three doors, the right side is a double door opening. The left side has a drawer inside and has a picture of an Eagle and says next to it, "American of Martinsville".

The dining setis made of the same wood as the china cabinet. Black paint splatters all over it. Has a leaf extension included. 6 chairs with a yellow cusion on the bottom. I couldn't find any information on the china cabinet but I did find  tags on the chairs for the dining set. The tags say "American Furniture Co.,Inc. Hairston Street Martinsville, VA 24112 Reg. NO VA 531" and on the side of all the chairs and table it has the number 2470-461. I'm not sure if that will help? Thanks

History
My Mother bought these pieces in the 1980s from a family who had it around 15 years or so. Ever since my mother downsized her house we've been handing it down from sister to sister. Finally we are going to sell it, no one has the room for it in their home.
