I purchased this chair and three others in 1980 fom an antique dealer. She told me at that time they were from 1890. I have tried to find more information regarding them but have been unable . The pictures reflects the discription of this one....I took it apart trying to find the manufacturer but there were no markings. The seat has horsehair stuffing,with a velvet upholstery. As seen in the photos, the strapping under the seat appears to have been repaired with new strapping. I would like more information ie. upholsery used for this type and era of these chairs, as I want to have a professional antique upholsterer refinish them. I am interested the value after this has been done.
