Description I remember this picture since I was a little girl. I am 44 now and my mother gave it to me. It was my grandmother's and unknown where it was obtained back then. It appears the frame may have been altered as there are some type of nails sticking out of the brown paper glued to the back. The paper has not been altered it seems. There are no signature, numbers or identifying marks. I am unsure if the frame I have is the original (not in this attached pic as I had to find the pic online). There is an wood frame with a gold outline on the interior, which seems could be a separate frame inside the wood frame. Perhaps this is where the frame may have been repaired by pulling the gold trim and nailing through the front to back and the nails left poking out the back. I hope not, but it does appear this may be the case unless that is how they were made. I am just interested in determining the age, era, history and an approximate value as I am not going to sell it. Thank you so very much!
