Description

This was purchased at an estate sale many years ago.  I would like to know if this is a true antique horse and sulky weathervane, circa, and worth.  To my eye, it looks very old... but knock offs are very good at imitating age.  I haven't found any hallmarks on it.  It seems to be in very good condition.  Both pieces are quite heavy.  I'd say 20-30lbs together.

Unfortunately this is not an antique- at the latest it is from the 1970s and more likely much sooner than that. You can find 100 identical examples on ebay at any given time including ones fresh out of the factory. They typically sell for $150-$350. This one with the bend to the horizontal rod and ugly bright copper surface is probably worth $100-$150.
