Danish Neolithic Flint Dagger - Orange Patina

By DaggerGuy, 4 February, 2020
Description

This dagger, which was part of a larger collection was purchased at an estate sale in the '30s. The information below accompanied the dagger:

A danish neolithic flint dagger, dating to the later part of the dagger period, B.C. 2000 -1800. The dagger is in mint condition and measures 155 mm. (6.03 inches) with a fine orange patina.

The dagger has a square handle and a narrow well knapped blade. It is slightly asymmetric, belonging to a class of daggers circulating at the time of the great fishtail dagger, possibly a little earlier.

Re: Danish Neolithic Flint Dagger - Orange Patina

Not sure this is considered militaria, but ok...

I'd go to a museum and have a curator or archaeologist have a look at it. If it's found to be genuine you could be into some real money.
