Derby Silver Co. mug

By Yaxley2, 6 September, 2013
Description

This is a small mug (2 1/2 to 3 inches in diameter, 3 1/2 inches tall) that is marked on the bottom, "Derby Silver Co. Derby CT Quadruple Plate" and the number 25.  (See photos)  It has a small dent in the rim and is tarnished but in otherwise good conditon, to my untrained eye.  It was one of the items I received when my parents died and their home was emptied.  I know nothing else about it.

Four pyramid-like sets of converging lines around the mug, with an engraved floral design on each side between the "pyramids," and engraved curved lines between the "pyramids"opposite the handle. Tiny beaded design between the upper section and the base, which curves outward from the mug and then back to the base. Handle is curved with notches top and bottom. Marked on bottom as described above, and as seen in photo
