5 Cups and saucers with pink, yellow and purple flowers on a black background and gilt edging) The flowers are edged with gold paint and there are gold dots throughout the pattern. The interior of the cup and the edge of the saucer is done in red, white and gold (sun and flowers?). The edges have a black line interior to a gold rim. The cup and saucer are both scalloped.
The cup and saucer are marked with the shield (beehive) of Royal Vienna. I believe the mark represents the earliest period of the company's production.
These cups do not look like anything I have seen attributed to Royal Vienna or the "Royal Vienna Period" I inheirited them over 40 years ago and they have been packed away most of that time.
I am looking to find something comparable to determine value and with all the research I have done I have found out more about Royal Vienna fakes that authentic pieces.
I would possibly like to sell them but I feel I need more information before I make that decision.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
