This little saw was made by the great old E.C ATKINS & CO. for a hardware store called "HOFFMAN MARK CO"who`s name I can no records of past 1872.I saw there was an auction for 3 of their hand written receipts...I`ve only cleaned it enough to read some of the etching on the blade.What I can make out is "HOFFMAN MARK CO. SPECIAL NO. 226 SOUTH ??? ST. ???CITY STATE"...The E.C.ATKINS brass button is on the handle.
