The set in the image is what's called "dragonware", it's Japanese, most of it dates from the 1890's through the late 1950's. It was a favorite of returning troops and sailors as far back as the 1890's. Values for such sets are modest, unless in a very unusual color most sell at auction for under $200.00 at auction.
