Floor lamp

By tjcar, 25 February, 2009
Description

This lamp is beautiful and I hate to give it up. I think that the shade is made out of cow hide and is damaged from age. The little beads at the top are really a pretty purple. It's very heavy which is why I said brass.

Re: Floor lamp

Your floor lamp dates from the first Quarter of the 20th century and is a sought after decorator piece in todays market. Smaller pieces like this that don't take up a lot of room have weathered the financial storms more so than larger pieces from the same era such as furniture. We often see these lamps go at auction for over $150.00.
