French (?) Antique Country Hutch

I purchased this piece at a French antique store in Tulsa Oklahoma probably about 10-12 years ago. I was told at the time it was a vasselier. But it doesn't look like one to me- because of the bench at the bottom. It is soooo heavy - and does not have any markings at all. I'm desperately trying to find my paper work on it, and I think the antique store has since gone out of business. Any help appreciated! I just want to find it a nice new home, as it's just wasting away in my climate controlled unit.
