Fritos and Cheetos Aluminum soda can

By baseball7500, 22 August, 2010
Description

I have two cans from what was going to be a trial version by the frito lay company of chips in a soda can in which the top has a pull tap and peels back the entire top, similar to the old pull tap soda cans. These were never released to the public. Both cans are still unopened, was wondering if anyone has additional info. and/or what they are worth?

History
Was given these cans at a local Golf Course in the late 1990's by a vendor, these can were going to go public and be a trial as chips in a soda can. This idea was pulled before they were made public and there are very few of these out there.

Re: Fritos and Cheetos Aluminum soda can

I just found a can of Fritos at my local Goodwill....the expiration date is November 16, 1999.  This forum is the only place I can find any mention of this product.  I'd love to know what It is worth!

Nice find! They were for…

Nice find! They were for sure released to the public though. I remember getting Doritos and Cheetos in a can from a soda vending machine at the Indianapolis airport in the 90's and how cool I felt lol
