Description
I inherited a G.Armani figurine of a cat on a wicker chair playing with a ball of yarn. My mom died in 1992 so I know it predates that. I have see others list the same figurine on ebay with item #166-C. However, the one I have is slightly different. All of the others that I have seen have a blue crown with the letter N in blue below it. The one I have has the blue crown with what looks like an S on it's side with a vertical slash through it.
Does anyone know what this symbol means?
Also, can anyone help date this piece? Others list it as "Retired", and yet other sellers (dealers) seem to have unlimited supplies of "Brand New In Box" items for full retail. Is it discontinued or is someone still making them?
thx
Wes
Re: G Armani Figurine
Hi. My mom has the identical piece minus the tags. I will look for that mark when I am there alter today. Could it be the artist's signature?
"Brand new in box" could mean it's a replica, especially if it's made in China.
Re: G Armani Figurine
This may help - the mark looks to me like the N and coronet mentioned here:

And this for sure!
