Gas Powered Race Car

By bcbandmom, 25 October, 2009
Description

Still has original paint job and stickers. The stickers on the door are missing part, it just says Alice now. Some small areas of paint missing, mostly on the bottom. Do not know if the engine still runs. We are leery about using new fuels in this old car. There is a tie post on the side where you would tie a cable to it and fasten it to a solid post. This kept the car from taking off in an unpredictable direction, saving you from a difficult chase! The car would then drive around in a circle quite fast I am told. He would let it go in circles until it ran out of gas.

History
My father bought this car before I was born. I can't remember seeing it run. He thinks it should still run though we haven't tried it, unsure if the fuel they sell for RC's today is the same as the fuel it use to run on. It has been packed away for years. He just gave it to my son so we thought we'd see what it was worth.
