Gray Research & Development Co Inc Record Player

By bwmadden, 7 May, 2014
Description

I have a Gray Research & Development Co Inc record player. It is a Rek-O-Kut Model LP-743 with a Gray 103-SL arm. All the parts are there, except the needle, needs to be rewired. The parts inside the record player are gray research as well. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Re: Gray Research & Development Co Inc Record Player

Not a huge demand for old turntables like this, from what I recall units like this were used with public address systems and bell tower clarions. Gray Research was an offshoot of Columbia Broadcasting System's engineering division. They also made phono equalizers for hi-fi and broadcasting use.

I have one exactly like it and I need some parts.  Do you still have it?
