Description Although I got this in San Antonio, the owners travelled all over the world, but did spend the last 30 or so years in San Antonio, Texas. It looks like it has been varnished over and the varnish has turned brown over the years. Some of the varnish has flaked off and I can tell it has beautiful colors underneath. It looks like it is called "A Summer Day," but the last word has been torn off. I'm not sure if it is on a canvas, although it seems to be. Should I take it out of the frame and check? I can't tell with the paper over the back. It is not in glass. No nicks, no scratches. Is this worth having cleaned? Thanks for your help.

I've just scraped off more of the vanish with my fingernail, and am pretty sure this is only a print that has been varnished over. The picture seems to be too smooth to be a painting, but will continue my scraping and see just what is under there! Anyone know if a Wiegand print is worth anything?
