Not sure exactly what year. I know it was passed down in the late 60's. Im not sure on anything before then. I am 99% positive they are real ivory. I have examined with a loupe and all the identifying markings of ivory are present. I have found an almost identical set at an online auction. Only detail given was the late 1960's. There are so many different oppinions on the value of something like this.
The case is lined with the blue satin thats in quite a few of the sets similar to this that I have seen. I believe its a complete set. No broken pieces or missing pieces that I am aware of.
