Description Would appreciate any help in confirming the identification of a vase which appears to be Rosenthal & Co. I acquired the piece at an estate sale, and unfortunately don't have any information other than the markings that would help with identification. Photos are included. The vase stands at about 5" high.

I'm not a Rosenthal expert, but while the markings appear to be in the shape and style of an authentic Rosenthal they concern me because of how they look. In particular Rosenthal traditionally marks their pieces using the same color and/or similar font of the stylized "R.C." or "RosenXthale" next to either "Germany", "Versailles", "Selb-Bavaria", etc. So, I haven't seen a Rosenthal piece to have "Germany" stamped off and away from the Rosenthal name, and in a different color. Also, to me the piece looks like it's trying to appear older and more slightly unfinished than other Rosenthal pieces that I've seen. Now, with all that said, I may be wrong about the provenance of this piece, but my gut feeling says to me that it may not be a Rosenthal. To do the valuation proper justice I think this piece needs more than someone just familiar with Rosenthal, but needs a Rosenthal expert to evaluate it.
