Re: Heywood Wakefield corner hutch?
Hi, I just acquired this piece of furniture and am curious of the year it was made? Also I am not sure if it is a China Hutch or if it is called something else. Thanks in advance:)
Re: Heywood Wakefield corner hutch?
The original Heywood Wakefield business is no longer in operation, closing it's wooden furnture plant circa 1979, but another company bought rights to the name and have been using it since 1994. Your corner cabinet dates from the 1950's- 60's, they started using the eagle mark cica 1946-49. We'd retail a comparable piece for about $1200.00 in good condtion, but they often sell for less at auction these days.
