This is a brass teapot/waterpot with a stand and a warmer underneath. The condition is excellent except it needs polishing. I have seen numerous examples of William Soutter's work and sme are identical to my piece with one exception. The stand on mine had a a twig or wood design. Can anyone help me with information on this item; age, worth, etc.

Hi - I can't help with a valuation but you might be able to assist with my search.

I recently bought the burner for one of these not knowing what it was - just looked interesting.  It looks to be exactly like your burner.

Pictures & my request for help here:  http://www.spiritburner.com/fusion/showtopic.php?tid/27745/

My question is, does it use a wick or do I just fill it wish denatured alcohol (Meths) & light.

The inner tube no longer goes up & down on mine but I'm hoping it will still work.

Grateful if yoiu can help me get mine working.

Regards

Simon
