Description
It is an Asian statue of a Woman, I think.
She is holding a flower stem and dressed in a robe. It has a marking or signature of a symbole on the rear heal of the statue. She is on a dark wooden base. I think it is ivory. Can anyone help me?
Re: Ivory chinese goddess or Buddha statue of lady
Hard to say if it's real ivory. If it is detachable from the base, the grain on the bottom is usually the best indication. The figuring and style of the piece look genuine. Though I've never seen an ivory piece signed on the side like that.
