Kroehler Antique Dining Set (Table/6 Chairs/Buffet) - Looking For Information On Set

Description

Looking for information and possible appraisal on a Beautiful, Decorative Kroehler Antique Dining Set. This rare set includes 6 upholstered chairs (2 arm chairs and 4 side chairs), solid wood table with two leaves, and a buffet. The set is in nice condition (although it is used with some small nicks and scratches, the set is well made of solid wood, sturdy, and looks great).



Included in the Set:

Beautiful Kroehler Antique Dining Room Table With Two Leaves (55.5" Length Without Leaves, 37.5" Width - Each Leaf Measures 15"/When Both Are Extended the Table Measures 85.5")

Six Antique Chairs (2 Arm Chairs/4 Side Chairs. Recently Reupholstered)

I also have this set. I had to take them to an antique refinishing cneter to have them repaired, these were constructed using animal glue, which deteriorates easily. They also have the same fabric. I also have a matching buffet that is part of the set, its 66 inches long ans 36 inches tall. I never looked at having the set appraised, but if someone has a thought, I'd be interested in hearing it. It was gifted to my parents by the original owners.

This set dates from the second quarter oof the 20th Century and is in the Jacobean Revival style.The style was popular from the late 1800's through the 1930's and most furniture makers produced a line of it. Demand for sets like this peaked in the ealy 1990's, demand since then has declined. We'd retail a set in very good conditon at $1500.00+
