It's estimated that Lane has produced over 15 million cedar chests over the company's history and very few families in North America did not have at least one. Values for even the older examples made during the 1920's are still quite modest due to the large numbers of them still in existence, the later models produced during the 1970's tend to have even lower values. Currently comparable examples to yours now often sell at auction for under $100.00 , we often retail examples in very good condition for less than $200.00.
