This is an urn that has been in our family forever. I have not been able to find out much of anything about the piece itself, other than the crest and stamp are very similar to the Romanov crest around the time of unification, with the exception of the sword scabbards underneath the eagles being present on the urn/umbrella stand. I'm not even sure what this is used for. It is hand hammered and there is a rub mark on it from the family's move to the US. Other than that, there is a great patina to it, its never been polished, and there is no damage to it. Would love to know more about it and am ready to sell. I'm told someone had it appraised before my time and it was worth around $1,500 somewhere in the 30's.

That is indeed a Romanov Russian imperial Crest on the vase. However, those are not scabbards, rather crossed cannons, denoting Artillery branch of military. This was a common inexpensive vase given to a soldier by a friend or vice versa, to commemorate their time in service. Likely dates to 1900-1917, judging by the style. Worth around $200-$300.
