This is a modern plate in imitation of flow blue plates made circa 1840-60. The date listed is not when the plate was made, it's likely the date the company was established. Similar plates are sold at a discount through grocery store promotions.
I recently purchased 38 piece set of the Lochs of Scotland, Royal Warwick. How do you know if it's real or fake. According to the lady I had bought it from, her mother bought them in the 40's after the war. The dinner plate that is pictured is the same one I've got.
Hello - can you tell me how to tell if I have the grocery store knockoff or the real Lochs of Scotland dishes? Mine do not have the ship but have different scenes and different Loch ---- on the back with the crest. I have some Nessie, some of the lake with mountain, some with a cabin and some with a shepherd and dog and sheep.
