Description
This piece a marble top and a wooden back piece behind the marble. In researching this washstand we have come across many that look similar, but with the back being marble (though with the exact same details as our wood piece).
There is one drawer and two cabinet doors. One side has shelf, the other is open space. There is a loose hinge on one door, but we have the screws that belong to it.
The drawer shows dovetailing, though was painted bright blue inside.
I believe the piece to be from 1880, based on the small amount of information I have found.
Any additional information and appraisal on the piece would be greatly appreciated.
