Good day, I have a 1951 vintage Marilyn Monroe “golden dreams” calendar, and after doing much research online, I have ascertained that it is in fact a Monroe 1951 vintage original.
The dimensions of the calendar are 16 by 33 inches; has all the months intact from January 1951 through December 1951; and was made in the U.S.A. by Amalgamated Lithographers of America in Chicago by Union Label Local No. 4 (whose logo appears on the calendar; and the ad on the calendar reads as follows:
1920 Thirty One Years of Service 1951
FRANK MANFREDI
Advertising Specialties - Calendars
Phone Dexter 1-9272
62 SILVER SPRING ST.
PROVIDENCE 4, R.I.
The calendar does not have “posed by Marilyn Monroe” to the right of her as the reproductions do. It is dated 1951, has the metal strips at the top and bottom and also the loop for hanging and “golden dreams” printed below her feet.
I would greatly appreciate your opinion on the value of this MM 1951 calendar and what steps to take, should I decide to sell this calendar.
Respectfully yours,
Joseph Acevedo
