Description

This is a creamer from my sister's estate. She liked browsing thrift shops and antique stores and picked up this single creamer because she liked the design.  There were no other pieces like it. The hallmark on the bottom is a circle with a shield inside it, and what looks like a set of scales inside the shield. Around the shield are the words "MERIDAN" and "B. COMPANY.".  There is the number "1915" below the circle.  There are no dents, but the pin that secures the lid is missing.

I  have a silver creamer and sugar set it was a wedding gift to my deceased parents in 1950.

I plan to post photo's, but was wondering if you got what it may be worth?

Thank  you.

Silverplated Pitchers like this were part of late Victorian water sets which would have included tumblers, a swinging stand and a tray. Values for them depend a great deal on the condition of the silverplating, examples with worn plating are very difficult to sell at any price, examples that polish up well can go at auction in the $60.00- $125.00 range.
