Metal Bridge Floor lamp with knight and dragons

By jyoakley, 20 February, 2013
Description

I found this lamp in a local shop. I am really just interested in a history. Where it might have come from, etc...

I don't know much about it. It's metal - iron maybe? Lots of detail on the bridge, base, and mid-shaft. You can see bits of gold and red paint in places.

It's very interesting.

Re: Metal Bridge Floor lamp with knight and dragons

These metal floor lamps are generic pieces and date from the first quarter of the 20th century, most manufacturers made a line like this with decorative cast metal bases and fixture holders. Values for them depend on condtion and how ornate they are, but most sell for less than $200.00 when restored and rewired.
