I purchased two wing back reclining chairs from an estate sale in my home town. Long story short. The owner was someone of great importance in the sports world. These chairs came out of his Man Cave where he kept several things that were his most prized possessions. It was only by chance I ended up with them. After I purchased them i had to go get a truck to move back to my home. When I arrived to pick them up, I was greeted by 2 men that were wanting to buy them. I was offerd 5 times what a paid for them. At that time I figured I hit a grand slam on my purchase. I decided not to sell and told the men I would be in touch. One gentleman flew into town just to buy these chairs. They both are covered in New York (Time Square) print, with just about every most famous New York attractions. They were made in1985 by Peoplounger Chairs that is no longer around. I've spent more hours researching and I can't find anything about them or anything even close. So I'm thinking out loud here.
1. They were part of this mans personal collection.
2. Nothing on line about chairs or even close to the New York print.
3. A man flew in town just to buy them.
4. I was offered 5 times what a paid for them.
They are like brand new and really only used for decor.
In wondering should I call these men back to continue the bidding. If so maybe I can find out how much I should take when selling. Thank you for your time. Grego
